Relationship Mediation

In some instances, mental health issues can lead to substance abuse as those afflicted try to ease their symptoms through self-medication. This can lead to anxiety, depression, paranoia and more. As well, people with diagnosed mental illness may use medication that can have negative side effects. Sometimes they turn to drugs or alcohol to remedy these effects.
Fortunately, there is help available if you suffer from addiction and mental illness. With Yonah’s expertise and patience we will create a plan and method for any type of addiction and bring you to a healthy state of mind.

  • Build and maintain motivation
  • Manage urges and cravings
  • Develop healthier interpersonal skills and boundaries
  • Develop a balanced life
  • Connect to your own support network

Addiction affects all the fundamental aspects of an individual’s life and therefore, to be optimally effective, a solid continuum of care is an essential foundation to the recovery process.

With a commitment to self-empowerment, our goal is to help people who want to change their lives and improve themselves. We provide the motivation and the means for these personal changes so that our patients can experience the kind of transformation that will endure long after they depart one of our programs.

How we can help?
During the critical early stages of addiction recovery, you need an advocate you can count on. Having treated thousands of patients, we focus firmly on reintegration and life skills development and will help create a plan to get you sober and keep you sober.

Crisis intervention helps to restore an individual’s equilibrium to their biopsychosocial functioning and minimize the potential for long-term trauma or distress. A crisis can be difficult for anybody to cope with, and many times these are recurring situations for an individual suffering from mental illness or a substance use disorder.

How we can help?
Our team has de-escalated any situation you can think of, helping patients suffering from mental illness or emotional disorders, restore stability and navigate through intense feelings brought on by unexpected changes in their lives. We’re skilled at crisis treatment, with successful outcomes.

Statistics from family law attorney surveys show that many couples wish they had addressed issues within their marriages 2-4 years prior to getting divorced. Of the couples surveyed, the majority felt that if they had received the proper help and advice, they could have prevented their divorce.

We want to act as mediator and not as a judge and bring both viewpoints together to find solutions and methods of communication.

How we can help?
Our team of professionals are experienced with helping couples negotiate as part of mediation and we are prepared to help guide you through the relationship mediation process. The goal is for both sides to learn to better understand each other, communicate effectively and ultimately resolve the issues you are facing in your relationship.
